 2018年1月31日晚，丁酉鸡年最后一个满月夜，天空中了上演一场万众瞩目的月全食大戏！这是一次极为罕见的多种天文现象的重合——“超级蓝色月全食”。月全食、超级月亮和“蓝月亮”同台登场，是152年来的首次，上一次发生这样的天文奇观还要追溯到1866年3月31日。

 当月亮、地球、太阳完全在一条直线上的时候，地球在中间，整个月亮全部走进地球的影子里，月亮表面变成暗红色，形成月全食。


 “红月亮”归功于暗红色的光，其实就是照射到月面上的太阳光。阳光从地球侧面的大气层中穿行时，是先从宇宙空间进入大气层，然后，又由大气层进入空间，这样就产生了两次折射。

 太阳光是由红、橙、黄、绿、蓝、靛、紫各种颜色的光线混合成的。当太阳光经过地球上的大气层被折射到地球背后的本影里时，它们都会受到大气层中大气分子的散射和吸收。黄、绿、蓝、靛、紫颜色的光波比较短，在大气中受到的散射影响比较大，它们大部分都向四面八方散射掉了。而红色的光线波长较长，在可见光中受到散射的影响最小，可以通过大气层穿透出去，折射到躲在地球影子后面的月亮上。所以，在月全食时，我们看到的月亮是暗红色的，即所谓的“红月亮”。

 超级月亮（Supermoon）是1979年由美国占星师理查德·诺艾尔提出的名词，是一种新月或满月时月亮位于近地点附近的现象。


 


 月亮到地球的平均距离约是38万千米，但月亮绕地球运行的轨道并不是圆形的，而是椭圆形的。据测量，月球位于近地点时，距离地球的平均距离为36.3万千米，而位于远地点时，平均距离为40.6万千米，两者相差达到10.41%。

 当月亮距离我们近时，看到的月亮大一些，当月亮距离我们远时，看到的月亮小一些。如果距离差距不是很大，比如几十公里或者几百公里，一般人不会有明显的感觉，但是近地点和远地点相差5万多公里，就有了比较明显的差异。


 “超级月亮”的产生有两个关键点，一个是最近，一个是最圆。如果月亮恰好运行到近地点或者临近近地点时满月，我们在地球上看到的月亮要比它位于远地点时大12-14%，就会欣赏到比平时更大、更亮的月亮，很多人也就将其称为“超级月亮”了。

 什么是“蓝月亮”？

 不要被这个名字所误导，这里的“蓝月亮”指的并非是蓝色的月亮。


 “蓝月亮”，是指当一个季度中出现4次满月时，第3个满月才被称作蓝月亮。“蓝月亮”属罕见天文现象，但也并非极不寻常。　


 根据历法计算，满月每隔29.5天出现一次，公历历法中每个月的时间大月为31天，小月为30天，这就出现了一个时间差，导致一个月可能同时出现两个满月。平均来说，每两年半出现一次“蓝月亮”，上次出现“蓝月亮”的时间为2007年5月。
